About Us

THE NEW CLUB SEASON COMMENCES 0N MONDAY 6th SEPTEMBER 2010 - NEW MEMBERS ARE VERY WELCOME.

Location

Our Camera Club is located in the town of East Kilbride, about 10 miles to the south east of Glasgow in central Scotland. We have been generously allowed the use of a church in East Kilbride for our meetings on Monday evenings during the Club Season (September - May) and this is where you will find us -

There is a Google map on the Join Us page.

Meetings take place at 7.30pm on Monday evenings and last until around 9.30pm as a general rule, although depending on what is happening at a particular meeting, it may last a little longer than this. There is a tea break during the meeting, where light refreshments are provided.

Some meetings are competitions, while others are presentations given by Club members and external speakers; we have been fortunate to have had some excellent speakers, who have proved to be both very knowledgeable and very inspiring.

For our new Season, commencing in September 2010, we have a number of workshops and beginners' sessions planned which will hopefully be fruitful and enjoyable.

As well as the ordinary meetings, we also have social Club outings; recent locations have included the Isle of May, Stirling, Beamish and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The Club is managed by a committee elected from and by the membership and is affiliated to the Glasgow and District Photographic Union (GDPU), The Scottish Photographic Federation (SPF) and the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB).
